Hosts Trounced at Rouncil

The newly formed youth team kicked off the season with a 7-1 win at Kenilworth Town on Wednesday evening. Hat-tricks from Louis Atkinson and Neil Stacey were rounded off by the seventh goal scored by substitute Jimmy Claridge.

As Kenilworth are playing hosts to us this season, such a big win might not have been a good idea. However, the crowd of 85 (larger than most Midland Combination attendances) will have swelled their coffers a little.

Next week sees the youth team's first official home match. Kick off is at 7.30 pm. Hopefully, the roadworks at Rouncil Lane will have gone by then!
